THINKERS & DOERS

Founded by Amandine Lepoutre, THINKERS & DOERS is an international organization aiming at strengthening bridges and cooperation between Europe and the Arab countries by bringing together thinkers and doers. This international platform gathers those who impulse innovative thinking and emerging projects in order to contribute to the positive development of the Arab region by sharing knowledge, expertise and ideas on the most pressing challenges of the Arab societies, all strategic to the future of the region : entrepreneurship & economic innovation, education, energies & resources, health & research, mobility & urbanism, social & positive economy, investment & strategic development, NICT & digital dynamics, arts & culture.

Amandine Lepoutre is also founder and CEO of La Société Anonyme, an innovative communication agency, as well as founder and President of AhAhAh!, the first network of creative forces such as designers, architects, artists, cultural entrepreneurs, musicians….etc.

A THINK AND DO TANK: through the organization of global annual forum, regional conferences, business meetings, through its publications and its acceleration platform T&D Accelerator dedicated to the most high-impact projects emerging in the Arab region, THINKERS & DOERS empowers future leaders and emerging projects to build new levers of development and shape a positive future.

PARIS GLOBAL ANNUAL FORUM - ARAB WORLD RENEWAL

The first edition of the International Forum dedicated to the Renewal of the Arab World held in Paris, on January 15th and 16th, 2015. In partnership with the Arab World Institute, THINKERS & DOERS organized a successful first International Forum, elaborated around major themes and personalities in order to shed light on the Arab World in a different perspective and foster reflection to pave the way for its revival. For the first time in Paris, THINKERS & DOERS gathered some of the most influential figures from Europe and the Arab World, such as Gérard Mestrallet, Frédéric Taddei, Jean Nouvel, Hala Fadel, Patrick Chalhoub, Talal Al Zain, Lina Lazaar, H.E Zaki Nusseibeh, Amira Yahyaoui, Rachid Benmokhtar, H.E Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo, Gilles Kepel, Dr Fatih Birol, Alexandre Kazerouni, Bassma Kodmani, Monique Villa…. The forum inaugurated by François Hollande, brought together 1600 participants, 88 speakers, 21 Arab countries were represented, debating over 6 themes for the development, dynamism and the future of this region: Entrepreneurship, Education, Cities, Energies, Arts & culture, Women’s Empowerment.

The second edition of the forum will be held in March 2016 in Paris.

DUBAÏ REGIONAL CONFERENCE – ARTS & CULTURE 19 & 20 March 2015 – On the occasion of Dubai Art Week - THINKERS & DOERS contributed to organize the Award Ceremony of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan (awarded the Medal of the Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres by Jack Lang). - After the Ceremony, a roundtable co-organized with Art Dubai was held betweek Jack Lang and H.E. Zaki Nusseibeh on the theme "How arts & culture can contribute to a mutual understanding and new synergies between Europe and the Middle East". - In partnership with Alserkal Avenue, THINKERS & DOERS organized a day of debates and exchanges was held on the theme Evolutions and perspectives of the art scene in the Middle-East: which issues at stake for a sustainable growth? This day will also be an occasion to promote innovative artistic projects that have been retained for the second cohort of T&D Accelerator, in presence of the committee members.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE JAOU FESTIVAL IN TUNIS – ACCELERATION SESSION 28-31 May 2015 – Bardo Museum - Kamel Lazaar Foundation THINKERS & DOERS contributed to the JAOU Festival in Tunis hosting an acceleration session of the T&D Accelerator: 5 selected projects holders pitches, workshops powered by MakeSense, contribution to debates & exchanges, side events.
