He recollected our meeting and informedme that immediately after the death of Mon-seigneur le due de Bourbon, he was sent to Saint-Leu by the princes de Rohan who were the dukesheirs on his mothers side. He arrived at thesame time as the persons commissioned by M. deSemonville to make investigations with a viewto ascertaining the causes of the princes death.Monseigneur le due de Bourbon had been placedupon his bed which was marked as if someonehad stood upon it without taking the trouble totake off their shoes.
