A production scene from 'Coastal Command', a film made by the Crown Film Unit at the New Studios, Pinewood, at Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire. This scene features an audience awaiting the beginning of an RAF 'Gang Show' in a Hebridean Village Hall. The edge of the set is clearly visible, as is the lighting gantry at the top of picture. Members of the production crew can be seen in the left background, and in the centre background, the camera operators can be seen, executing a tracking shot along the side of the audience.
This photograph was scanned and released by the Imperial War Museum on the IWM Non Commercial Licence. The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946. Consequently the image and faithful reproductions are considered Crown Copyright, now expired as the photograph was taken prior to 1 June 1957.
