Well, I've decided to empty my mobile phone of all the pictures I had in it; mostly cars. When I didn't own a camera myself I wouldn't photograph many cars at all (logical since I didn't have anything to do it with) but everytime I'd see an interesting car and had a good chance of snapping it, I wouldn't miss the opportunity.
Wedding car I saw one day. Even if those headlights look familiar I am not sure what the car is, who does? where are its plates from?
The license plate is from Charente-Maritime, a department in western France.
I THINK the car MIGHT be Chenard et Walcker 9CV (tho it might be a Chenard et Walcker 18CV) from 1939. Chenard et Walcker went bankrupt in 1939 after producing just 1,700 cars that year. (They had been more important earlier in the 1930s.) My source is an advertisement from a Geneva newspaper dated 1940. Although the firm was bankrupt, presumably someone had a stock of unsold cars to shift, and Switzerland was not at war. It is reproduced in a copy I have of "Automobilia". Toutes les voitures françaises 1940–46 (les années sans salon) (Paris: Histoire & collections). Nr. 26.
