DescriptionCentral part of a large Wall panel with glazed bricks from Fort Shalmaneser at Nimrud.jpg
English: Two figures of the Assyrian king Shalmaneser III face each other, in a prayer gesture. This is a detail of a large wall panel of vibrant glazed bricks once placed above the entrance to a vast room (T3) next to Shalmaneser III's throne room at Fort Shalmaneser in Nimrud (in modern-day Nineveh Governorate, Iraq). Note the cuneiform inscription. This part is at the center of the panel where two figures of the king and two rampant bulls appear. Reign of Shalmaneser III, 858-824 BCE. On display at the Iraq Museum in Baghdad, Iraq.
